About the event
Featuring carols by John Rutter, the first half is grouped to form a program which narrates, reflects upon, and celebrates the Christmas story.
Popular Christmas standards dominate the second half. Perry Como debuted It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas; Christmas Waltz was written for Frank Sinatra; We Need a Little Christmas is from the Broadway musical Mame; and Irving Berlin’s Christmas presents 5 Berlin classic standards including White Christmas.
The chorus will be joined by a chamber ensemble of winds, brass, percussion, harp and strings.
