About the event
The concert features a newly commissioned work for chorus and small orchestral
ensemble which celebrates the 250 th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
The composer is Paul Ferguson, Director of Jazz Studies at Case Western Reserve
University, Artistic Director of the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, and professional
trombonist. The work is partially funded by a Cuyahoga Arts and Culture grant.
